Christmas Time

Well Christmas arrived and has gone by. So far we have been very busy. I was able to visit with my friend Lindsey and make awesome Christmas goodies. Ryan and I attended a tastefully simple Christmas party, and then before we knew it, it was Christmas Day. During Christmas Eve day, I worked and Ryan stayed home with Rylynn. The three of us spent the early evening together and opened gifts. I was so excited to get a digital picture frame it will load 2000 pictures and I can't wait to get them loaded...we are just sooo busy, I am hoping to get it working by New Year's Eve. On Christmas Eve we went to church with my dad and diane and then headed to the Miller side for a get together at my grandma's. We then spent the night with my mom and enjoyed Christmas day with my sisters, grandma, uncle Craig, and grandpa Stanley. It was a nice time. I will post some fun pictures in a short time. We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas.

Sitting with Santa

Rylynn really enjoyed sitting with Santa this year as you can tell. We will see on the 25th if she was a good girl!

Hunter and Rylynn posing for the camera while visiting Santa.

Go Notre Dame!

If you walk in our house on Saturdays you will see one thing...Notre Dame colors. Ryan and Rylynn had to show off their pride a couple weeks ago and say Go Notre Dame!

Thanksgiving

Well we were busy for Thanksgiving. We got to catch up with old friends a couple days before thanksgiving. We got to see the Myers family. Rylynn and Ethan (pictured below) played together. They even shared hugs and kisses. We had a nice evening and yummy food (thanks Brenda)On Thanksgiving, we went to my family. We visited the Kingery side. We had yummy Turkey and side dishes. Then we played a great game of bingo! We came home with some fake eyelashes, tape dispenser, and a beanie baby. Then we headed to my parents and visited with all of Rylynn's cousins. We had a nice time and are looking forward to spending time with them for Christmas.

Bath Time

Rylynn has been enjoying bath time more and more. She loves to help wash herself, play with her toys and make big splashes. Now with the tubes, she has to put her earplugs in, but she would do anything to take a bath.

Tubes

Well last Wednesday, Rylynn had tubes. We found out that Rylynn is not hearing much of anything which is why she is not talking. The procedure went well, she did get violent when recovering, but for the most part she was good the rest of the day. I spent the day home with her. She has now said, mom, dad, apple, Jo (for aunt Mirissa), and ball. We are working on Mamaw and PaPaw for grandma and grandpa Jackson (that is what the other grandkids call them).

Anyway, she is doing well. But please continue to pray for her so we can communicate with her better and she can learn how to speak better.

Happy Halloween

Well Rylynn was supposed to be a ladybug for Halloween. Her grandpa Sipe bought it for her last year on clearance. One problem, it was too short. So I found a cow costume online and got this one for her. She enjoyed being a cow since she can say MOOOOO. When we went trick or treating, we saw all the cousins and were sure to take pictures. This is the first picture of all the kids, of course none of them came out good. Rylynn also got to see Izzy (my cousin, Jannelle's, little girl).

Fall Time

Well it has been awhile since I have posted. I have tried to spend more time with Rylynn when I can. So before Halloween, Rylynn and I went over to Tate's Orchard and we got apples and a pumpkin. We took some pictures of her next to her pumpkin she picked out. She really enjoyed looking around at all the fall decorations.

Love'n' my toys

Well these past months I have been doing whatever I can to save money. I got a giftcard from my boss at Christmas and hadn't used it, so I decided I found a book I wanted to buy and I could get it, I had a little extra left and Rylynn loves animals....the toy was on sale, and I got points through Memolink for shopping...so it was a win win.

Anyway....long story, Rylynn is enjoying her new fridge toy, we hope it keeps her occupied while I am cooking, we will see.

Pink Eye Anyone?

Well last week we lived in the doctor's office. On Tuesday we went to the Ear specialist and they told us Rylynn needed tubes. I think that she missed the doctors so much she wanted more, because the next day she woke up with pink eye!

Indy Baby Expo

So a couple weekends ago, my sister Mirissa and I headed down to Indianapolis for the Indy Baby Expo. And of course we had to take our babies. The expo was giving out gift bags to the first 50 people that arrived and it was worth $500! Mirissa wanted to be there bright and early so we got up early and guess what?????

We were number 51! We were so disappointed, but we had a nice time. The kids got to play, draw pictures, paint, and we got lots of free things and some coupons, so that is always fun.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Ok so we are a little slow, Ryan's birthday was on the 8th of October. The weekend before his birthday I took him to a Notre Dame game. We have never been to a game and I have tried to get tickets since we have been dating! We had a great time. We visited several sites on campus including the bookstore where we made a couple purchases! We had to add to Rylynn's wardrobe and would you guess I had NOTHING Notre Dame prior to that day! Anyway we wanted to share with you what we did on that day.

Enjoying the nice weather while we can!

Well I am sure all of you have been enjoying this wonderful weather. Last Thursday we took advantage of it and went outside and cleaned out the car and played with Rylynn in the front yard. She had a good time playing with all her outside toys. She cracked us up a she laughed and did silly things.Rylynn has brought such joy to Ryan and I's life that we can't even begin to explain. We have enjoyed and treasured each and every moment that we have with her.

Too Cute to resist

Ok so this picture was taken in early July, but we just got it from a friend developed correctly, and it is SO ADORABLE. We do have several other pictures that I would love to share, so hopefully I will get a chance sometime this weekend to work on that! But I do hope you agree with me on this picture.

Mothers

I received this in a email today and wanted to share, it is so sweet.

MOTHERS
Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you best.'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Go Irish!

For those of you that don't know, any children born into our home will have to be supporting the Irish. And of course they have to be showing their team spirit. Though Rylynn and I were going shopping, she had her windsuit on Saturday morning at the soccer game, but of course she got dirty, so we came home and got her in her jersey. She didn't enjoy watching the game, because she was shopping with mommy, but everyone thought she looked so cute and of course Daddy agreed and also believes that Notre Dame won because Rylynn had her jersey on!

Rylynn being ornery

Well Rylynn is liking to experience new things. Ryan and I are practicing a new art...."listening".... if we don't hear Rylynn we know she is up to something! Yesterday I dropped Ryan off at a meeting, came home and rushed around trying to getting a few things done, Rylynn was hungry so I gave her a canister of snacks, I was in a hurry. I was not gone for more than 7 minutes and I came back looking for her and this is what I found!

She had not moved from the spot she was in, she had laid down, and had the canister completely gone! It had just been opened!

Rylynn is also enjoying being read to, she will carry books to us that she wants to read. She is also working on puzzles very well, dancing, still loving the outdoors, and now she is even reading to herself quite often, which we find very amusing.

Sipe News

Well several fun things have been happening with the Sipe family. Ryan is still enjoying his job working as a financial planner. He just got back from a training. He left this past Monday and got home Thursday evening. He continues to stay busy with his job.
I returned home from a Tastefully Simple Conference and a week later Ryan left for a training, so it was nice for us to spend one on one time with Rylynn. But Ryan and I also experienced quite a bit of time apart from one another which was something that we had never experienced. This past Tuesday, I start graduate school at Huntington University. I am working on getting a Master's Degree in Counseling. I will then work on being a Licensed Mental Heath Counselor, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Right now I have been overwhelmed. I believe I am one of the only individuals that works full-time and is going to school. Most of my classmates are also taking several other classes. I wanted to get through this class, and then go onto the next step which will be taking my GRE and continuing through the program if they accept me once I get my GRE scores. I am continuing to be a Tastefully Simple Consultant. My team has continued to grow which in the end will help me and I am very excited about that, hopefully one day my Tastefully Simple money can help with that home that Ryan and I have always wanted.
Rylynn is changing everyday. She is learning new things. Lately she has taking an interested in washing herself in the bathtub and then helping with applying lotion to her tummy and legs after she is out of the bathtub. She is still loving the outdoors. She is always very happy and smiles most of the day. She has always loved patty cake, but she has now figured out how to do it herself which is exciting. Oh did I mention she climbs like a monkey? She will climb into and onto everything! We have to always have our eyes open. I will go through the camera and post receint pictures this week.
Please continue to pray for our family as Ryan continues to work with his new job, Rylynn to continue to grow and be such a good toddler, and for me as a balance my family, work, and school. We are excited about this new chapter but extremely scared.

Tastefully Simple Convention

Well I attended a Convention for Tastefully Simple from August 13-17th. It was the first time away from Ryan and Rylynn and it was pretty difficult for me. I called daily (a couple of times). While I was gone, I was sick, so I was extremely tired. But I had alot of fun and got to try all of the new items, they were very yummy!

New set of Wheels

I don't know how many of you garage sale, but I LOVE them! I have found so many wonderful things by going to garage sales. We have found clothes that are in great condition, toys, and all sorts of other things, this weekend was no exception. I went to a garage sale in the morning this weekend and found some clothes, but then my friend and I went to one Saturday and it said it had Little Tykes things. Well we hit the mother of garage sales. There we so many Little Tykes things, we left with our car full of kids and toys. And the great thing was I walked away spendng $6.25. Rylynn got an outfit from Children's Place, a red sweater from Gap, kaki pants, a black turtle neck along with a Little Tykes car! All for $6!!! I was so excited. We haven't had a chance to totally clean up the car, but Rylynn still wanted to get it in yesterday, so we put her in it and took some pics.

She loves her new set of wheels!

Rylynn again

Well On July 18th, Rylynn decided to take some of her first steps at the Mavrick's home. She continues to do it weekly when we are over there for small group, however she only does it for us when she wants. We will try to include another video for those of you that don't get to see her often.

Rylynn is walking!

Go Carting in Tennesse

While in Tennesse, Ryan and I went Go Carting. It was the first time I went on an actual track. We had a lot of fun, and Bailey was nice enough to capture some pics

Save some money

I don't know about you, but I like to save money as much as possible. I "steal" coupons from my inlaws, I compare shop all the time, and even shop online. When I shop online I go to places where I can earn points when I shop or to do surveys, that way I earn points and then earn gift cards which is another way to save money. I also found a way to see if there are any coupon codes for the sites you are making purchases from. I also go to a website that gives away free stuff. Any little bit helps, especially in today's world. I am going to include those links below, feel free to check them out.

http://forums.dealofday.com/found-freebie/ you can go here to find free stuff. sometimes they have good things and other times, not so much, but never hurts to try

memolink.com you can earn points through surveys and shopping, let me know if you are interested and I will refer you and you will earn more free points!

when shopping online go to google.com and then enter the store name and coupon codes. they will then give you links with different codes, this does work. I used it today
For example, reuseablebags.com coupon codes.

Let me know if you have trouble.

Wordle

My friend, Amy, is so creative. She found a website that I went to and did this word thing for Rylynn, it's really cute and I thought I would share it with all of you. Everyone should really try it out. http://www.wordle.net/
